Attached is a pic of a very rare vehicle... this is a Russian
BTR-40,armored personnel carrier...
mid 1950s production, 4 wd, two ranges, 4 speed. Steel is
armored...
This unit was supplied to Syria by Russia, and was captured in the
6dayswar. After that it was
taken into Israel, and outfitted with Chrysler flat 6 engine for
easeofmaintenance, and it
 patrolled the border with Egypt until retired.
 I acquired it from a movie production company, it was used in the
last Raiders, but didn't make final cut.

Last winter the unit was totally gone through mechanically. Two
newfuel tanks, new fuel pump, new wiring where needed,
master cylinder rebuilt, brake system redone, new brakes and
parking brakes all around. All new fluids. $6k in work.

The unit was in incredible condition according to the mechanics..

Unit is very rare, only 3 others in the US and this is the only
one
that
is an original gun truck.
50 cal and 30 cal mounts all around. 20mm and mortar storage bins
in
place. Radio racks are there.
